This entry was mostly focused on Matthew 26:40-45
but other scriptures as well. Scriptures added within
the sentences were brought to my memory from the Lord to confirm his word to me.
(Matthew26:40) He returned to his disciples and found them sleeping . (why were they sleeping so much I asked the Lord?) *because their flesh was weak only made strong through me in prayer.* Could you not keep watch with me for one hour? He asked Peter.
(Matthew26: 41) Watch and pray so that you will *you willfully not fall into temptation. What is temptation?(as if I didn’t know
) Your own desires which are not always Godly. The spirit is willing,but the body is weak.

(Matthew26: 43) He again found them sleeping because their eyes were heavy. There is also spiritual sleeping. Some people spiritual eyes are so heavy that they cannot stay alert to pray.
(Matthew26:45) Are you still sleeping and resting? Look the hour is near…when the Son of Man will return
This is what I ask my people what will it take for their eyes to open up to see the evil that they are living in.
I am a just God and I will judge according to my word.
(John 12:48-There is a judge for the one who rejects
me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.)
(Matthew26:46) Rise, let us go! Here comes my betrayer!
The enemy is in the world. He is being made
stronger. My people must rise. My church must wake up!
(Matt 16:18-And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it) We need to pray. The church needs to pray!
Matthew 26:37-38
Yes, I am sorrowful and troubled, My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me. This is what I ask of my people. (2Chronicles 7:14-If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.)
This is Gethsemane all over again. We (the church) are being pressed down. Fear not. I have overcome the world! I still reign. I am sovereign. I am God Almighty. With me you will overcome. Thank you Lord!
Some of my people say I have their heart but they cannot feel my sorrow for the world because they have not truly given their heart to me. I love all my children. I love the world that is why I sent my son, Jesus Christ, not to condemn it but to save it through him. (John 3:17-For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him)
I asked will we rise Lord, will the church rise?
Some will fail, it is written. I’m reminded of the
(1 Peter 4:17-For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?) and (Matt 3:12-His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”) Some who say they know me will stay behind.
(Matthew 26:56) Then all the disciples deserted him fled
how quick we are to leave you Lord. When trouble comes, we go right back to where you took us out of.
We go into our little hiding place or just deny you all together.
I’m reminded of Matthew 7:26-27-But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash)
(Matthew 17:5) A voice from the cloud said,
“This is my son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.
Listen to him! We are disobeying if we are
led by the Holy Spirit to do or say something yet refuse to obey by doubting. God has commanded us to listen to Him.
