Feed On This

On December 3, 2017 I was in my car awaiting the start time of a christian conference that I drove 8 hours to attend in Ohio.                 The state I live in rarely has these type of christian conferences that really appeal to spiritual growth and this is a minister of  God who’s ministry I’ve partnered with so well with the drive.

I took the opportunity of the free time I had before the conference begin to mediate on the Word of God. To be specific, I kept hearing in my spirit, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6)  I felt the Holy Spirit wanted to bring deeper understanding to this scripture that I’ve read plenty of times before. The beatitudes. I turned to the scripture read it and wrote as the Holy Spirit laid this on my heart:

The time is coming when the true believers will have to literally live on only the words that proceeds from the mouth of God.   When the persecution against the believers, the true believers, will stand against the world system and will not be able to buy or sell, you will go hungry – it’s simple. This is a test. Will you accept the beast system to fill your belly with physical food?  Here’s the word of the Lord: Hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Start living a lifestyle of absence of food (fast and pray) and feed on the Word of God. Practice this now! Train your mind and belly now. Stop over indulging on food. The enemy will us this over indulgence as a snare to get believers to break down their resistance against the system of the beast.

Man Shall not live on bread alone but out of every word that proceed from the mouth of God. The key is to hunger and thirst for righteousness. We need more of God, knowing more of him, drawing closer to him, giving him full devotion, undivided attentions.  He will fill you up as he speaks to you and reveals his heart to you.

The words he speaks will be your food. Spiritual food. How will this benefit the physical body that feels hunger? Did the word say walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh? ( Oh you thought that just meant something sexual? – No.)  An individual can lust after food as well. If you’re walking in the Spirit you will be focused instead on spiritual matters.

The thought of food (physical food) will not be as important. Even if you have a bout of hunger pain. You will not see physical food, you will seek the Word of God. Food to build up your spirit (Jesus said the words I speak are Spirit and Life!) The stronger your spirit man gets the weaker the desire’s of the flesh will be and the more authority your spirit will have over your flesh for it to submit.

To summarize, let’s practice depending on the Word of God to sustain us as a time is coming where food will be scarce for the believers in Christ during the tribulation. We do not want to grow weak and give up when situations are challenging with no other options. Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness as this is what will fulfill us/satisfy us. Our Lord Jesus Christ is our Righteousness.     Jesus is the Word of God.

Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.                                                                                                                                                                                                               John 6:35
